Orcas operates in Cairo, Alexandria, El Gouna and North Coast for the summer. We have served more than 800 happy customers with our 600+ trained, experienced and reliable tutor profiles.
Orcas aims to make parents' lives easier by providing a safe, efficient and educational service. It is no secret that being a new mother or a mother of young children can be a stressful time. We aim to give both parents the luxury of being able to have some time for themselves, while being completely assured that their toddlers or preschoolers are being taken care of by experienced, reliable, and trustworthy caregivers.
Making the search for the perfect caregiver as hassle free as possible, parents can choose and decide the suitable caregiver for their needs, by a few clicks on the Orcas mobile app. Parents get to choose based on the relevant location, age group, experience, and language of the caregiver from a wide range of profiles.
Our goals include creating experiences that foster the growth and development of children, as well as ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for the children and our team of caregivers similar to that present at home.

Orcas started off as a group of young Egyptians that tutored family friends’ children as there was a gap in the market for elementary, middle-school and high-school students to find like-minded tutors that can help make studying a little easier.
As this prolonged, they found that there were thousands of other international school families that were facing the same problem and in correlation, there were hundreds of students that would be eligible to tutor them and have part-time jobs by doing so. This was also a huge gap in the market: ways for university students to become financially independent.
How did it start, 2013
Back in 2013, the young group of friends were not yet exposed to iOS and Andoird and that entire online scene.
So instead, they had a simple booklet they distributed to their target audience which they found in Sporting Clubs, schools or fairs happening around the city.
The four began the entire operation with an investment of $1,000. This booklet later transformed into a Facebook page and by 2014, they took their idea to the App Store and Google Play: “We have more than a thousand partners available on the apps with experience in all school systems including the International Baccalaureate, German Abitur, BAC Francais, American Diploma, IGCSE and Thanaweya Amma. Their services are available for all ages and subjects,” said Hossam “We have also trained our partners to ensure they have no trouble in using the mobile applications. It was very important to ensure that they’re aligned on this.”
