Once you’ve downloaded the application, you will have access to over 3500 tutor profiles.

Select a Tutor
All available tutors will appear on the search results screen. To help you choose the most suitable profile you can sort by:

Compare tutor profiles
Read reviews from other parents before making your decision.
You’ll also be able to find out their:

Average rating they receive from other students.

Send the tutor a message (for free)
After you’ve selected a tutor profile, you’ll be able to start chatting with them for free. The tutor will receive your message instantly.
If they are available, they will accept your request and coordinate your session details with you.
If the tutor is not available, they will decline your request.

Complete your payment
Once the tutor has sent you an agreement, you'll be able to pay via:

Credit Card
The tutor will not receive the payment until you confirm that the session has occurred. You can decide how many sessions you want to pay for in advance.
Track your tutoring sessions
After each tutoring session takes place (at home, in a nearby cafe or online), you will be asked to confirm the session.
You can cancel or renew your package at any time.
Pricing
Tutoring sessions are calculated per hour and vary based on the tutor, the learner's grade and the school system.
Why don’t all tutors have the same hourly rates?
Tutors at Orcas are categorized into different levels. This mainly depends on how many reviews, ratings, and learners a tutor has on Orcas. Once a tutor has reached Platinum Level at Orcas, they are able to set their own rates.
