How It works

Once you've downloaded the app, you'll have free access to over 2000 tutor profiles in Cairo and online. Here's how you can message tutors and book sessions:

Search

Once you've downloaded the application, you will have access to over 2000 tutor profiles.

• Choose the subject

• Select your location (or online)

Select a tutor

All available tutor will appear on the search results screen. To help you choose the most suitable profile you can sort by:

• School system

• Hourly rate

• Ratings and reviews

• Nationality

• Gender

Compare tutor profiles

Read reviews from other parents before making your decision.

You'll also be able to find out their: ​

• Hourly prices

• Work experience

• Educational background

• Average rating they receive from other students.

Send the tutor a message (for free)

After you've selected a tutor profile, you'll be able to start chatting with them for free. The tutor will receive your message instantly.

If they are available, they will accept your request and coordinate your session details with you.

If the tutor is not available, they will decline your request. 

Complete your payment

Once the tutor has sent you an agreement, you'll be able to pay via:

• Credit Card

• Fawry

​

The tutor will not receive the payment until you confirm that the session has occurred. You can decide how many sessions you want to pay for in advance.

Track your tutoring sessions

After each tutoring session takes place (at home, in a nearby cafe or online), you will be asked to confirm the session.

You can cancel or renew your package at any time. 

Pricing

Tutoring sessions are calculated per hour and vary between tutors.

Why don't all tutors have the same hourly rates?

The more reviews and experience hours a tutor has completed, the higher their hourly rate becomes. Tutors that have completed a certain amount of tutoring experience can set their own prices (Platinum Tutors). Tutors that recently added their profile to Orcas are either Bronze, Silver or Gold tutors depending on their previous experiences.
